Dribbling into Techno: KAS:ST

One of the most captivating names in the techno world lately is KAS:ST, which, if you didn’t know, is just a very fancy way of saying “the party’s about to get weird.” Born in Paris and now storming global stages, this project takes listeners on an emotional journey while binding them to the dance floor with its dark rhythms. But wait, there’s a plot twist: KAS:ST is now sailing solo with Manuel Sene at the helm, as his partner Karol Herse decided to left the duo, Manuel decided to carry on the project alone.

But before Manu dove into music, his life followed a completely different rhythm — quite literally. Believe it or not, the man behind KAS:ST’s haunting melodies used to play professional football on French pitches. Having played for clubs like Nîmes Olympique and FC Istres, Manuel made a drastic career shift and carried his discipline and energy from the football field into the techno scene.

After moving to Paris, Manuel and Karol began their musical journey with house music, later shifting to techno, which became KAS:ST’s signature style. Their 2019 album “Road to Nowhere” showcased diverse sounds, but it was “Hold Me to the Light” that catapulted KAS:ST to international fame.

KAS:ST’s music creates a dream-like experience that captivates audiences, who seek deep emotional connections and powerful rhythms. The concerts encourage both introspection and energetic dancing, keeping listeners engaged in a unique way. One moment you’re lost in thought, the next you’re jumping to the beat.

Sorry, but this isn’t an experience you can fully convey to someone who hasn’t lived it. KAS:ST is one of those things you just have to feel. And let’s be honest — the fact that Manuel once made people sweat on football fields and now does the same in concerts? That’s a story that’s both ironic and wildly entertaining for fans.
